Lynx in Estonia

Anyone considering the Mammal Watching tour to Estonia next March/April might enjoy a look at these images which were taken on mammal watching trips there earlier in 2022. Particularly interesting in the screenshot of the view through the thermal scope. Don’t those cats show up well.

It is not always thus with thermal scopes but the cool ambient temperatures at that time of year mean the backgrounds are often clear of noise and so seeing the animals with the thermal scope is much easier say than say searching a rocky mountainside in autumn in the middle east where every rock shines like a living thing! Lets hope for pictures like the one on the log!
