Sebastián Moreno

Juan Sebastián Moreno is a biologist who conducts fieldwork on flora and fauna across various ecosystems in Colombia. As a biology student, he developed his nature photography skills, a passion that led him to recognize the complexities of taxonomy in different groups of animals and plants. Currently, he dedicates all his time to studying the taxonomy and conservation of Colombian orchids, with a particular focus on the genus Lepanthes. Over the past seven years, he has described 65 new species. Sebastián speaks fluent English and his engaging and enthusiastic personality makes time in the field with him a pleasure.
