Ozan Balkan
Born and raised in Istanbul, Ozan considers himself fortunate to grow up in a melting pot of so many
different cultures. He holds a degree in journalism. Music has been always the focus of his life along
with history and culture. Later on, he decided to make a change in his career and has become an
official cultural guide. Over the past fifteen years Ozan has guided trips all over Turkey. He sees
tourism as a way of cultural exchange, a chance to meet and spend time with others beyond the
boundaries of race, colour and religion. Ozan has co-lead a number of Greentours trips over the last
few years and we think you’ll enjoy the insight he’ll give into both modern and ancient Turkey, all the
while peppered with a wonderful selection of pertinent and entertaining anecdotes.
