Arne Jakobsen
Arne Jakobsen’s love for and knowledge of the flowers and the mountains of Norway will immediately become apparent to those joining our new tour to Norway in 2019. A childhood interest in things natural developed into a career fuelled by studying botany at the University of Trondheim where Arne now lives. A Biology teacher for more than thirty years Arne has still found time to work in nature conservation and to produce a book on the plants of the Dovrefjell and Trollheimen mountains. He also leads flower walks in the area and in recent years has extended his exploration of all things Arctic and Alpine to the rest of Scandinavia and Svalbard, as well as to the Alps and the Pyrenees.
