Travelling from Dan to Beersheva, Oron Peri used his excellent local knowledge to find exciting plants throughout Israel. We found endemic orchids where Elijah fought the prophets of Baal, Fritillaria where Saul was killed by the Philistines and Tulips growing in the arid rocks of the desert. We found Irises among discarded Syrian tanks on the Golan heights and more under the watch towers of Gaza. A trip not to be missed.
