Costa Rica March 2014

Yet again this amazing little country delivered a feast of wildlife with everything from aracaris to porcupines and parrot snakes to the bizarre flowers of climbing aristolochias. Standout moments were a point blank male Resplendent Quetzal, superb views of Sunbittern, Pacific Screech-owls exchanging food in the form of a rare gecko, a gorgeous quartet of baby armadillos, a cabin-nibbling porcupine and an exquisite White Hawk perched in the mossy boughs of a tree with the late afternoon sun illuminating it’s feathers.
